Ellen Proszak is an attorney, a teacher, a support broker for self-directed services and the parent of a person with a disability. Originally from upstate New York, Ellen has lived with her family on Long Island for the past twenty-five years. She received her education at SUNY New Paltz, Albany Law School, Stonybrook University and LIU Post. Ellen has worked in a wide variety of positions in the fields of law
and education for the past 25 years. She was an Executive Board Member of her local SEPTA/SEPTO Boards as well as a parent member on her local committees for Special Education services. Her proudest
achievements have been inspired by her amazing children and include her work to integrate individuals with special needs into the community such as the Afterschool Shadow Program at her local school
district and a variety of other projects culminating in her current work as a support broker working with self-determined Individuals. Ellen is a member of the PCC Advisory Board.
