All the hip guys and gals boogied the night away at PCC's Summer Lovin 50s Sock Hop.  Everyone was channelling their inner Sandra D and Danny Zucko, showing up dressed to the nines. Members Grease Lighting-ed the night away to some good tunes.  Everyone enjoyed ice cram sundaes and each other's company.  This was one dance to remember!

Mama Mia! We had a feast to say the least at the St Rocco’s Italian Feast in Glen Cove. We enjoyed some delicious heroes, pasta, cannoli's and gelato. To say that the food was good is an understatement! Members also had the opportunity to o on some rides. However, the consensus was that the food was better than the rides!  All in all it was a nice way to spend a summer afternoon with friends.

PCC members and friends continued to celebrate the Fourth of July at our Salute to America Meetup.  Everyone enjoyed the summer night listening to some rocking tunes from Long Island's own, Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats. Concert-goers were the treated to a Grucci Fireworks show.  It sure was one of the best fireworks shows. A variety of shapes, sounds and colors streaked the night sky.  It was a fun summer night.

PCC Members and Friends had the chance to tour the LT Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL Museum.  The tour was led by a US Navy SEAL.  We had learned so much from him.  He talked about how the Navy SEALs started, their responsibilities, and so much more.  There was also an opportunity to go on a SEAL adventure ride, which allowed everyone to experience how it felt to be a Navy SEAL out on a mission.  It was an honor to be able to have a PCC meetup at this museum.

Nassau Voice took their musical talents to Orchard Estate's Assisted Living Community.  There, members did two performances for the individuals that live there. They sang God Bless the U.S.A.

The Pirates of PCC struck again! Our PCC Pirates searched for buried treasure in the harbor of Northport. Teams worked together to follow clues to find some unique riches. The Pirate's Life sure is for PCC!

Another successful Speed -Friending event down in the books!!!!! We had so much fun co-hosting with our friends from the Butler Center Suffolk Y JCC! Participants had the opportunity to get to know each other and what they enjoyed most about the summer. Laughs were had and connections were made during this very special event. We can't wait to have another one in August!

On July 15th PCC members and friends joined together to have some Superhero costume play fun at Belmont State Park.  With Dan as Clark Kent and Tom as Aquaman the day was set for some twists and turns. With eight stations set up with activities participants dressed in their interesting superhero fashion took on each activity with determination and excitement.

Old McDonald had nothing on us at our Farming Meetup at the Elijah Farm in Dix Hills!  Members tasted some delicious veggies and helped plant a variety of herbs.  We learned a lot from our friends at the Elijah Farm. We even made friends with some local chickens! It was a beautiful day well spent!
