This holiday season our PCC Live-Wired crew got in the spirit of season by helping the Sachem library design and install their Winter Garden Lightshow! They fought with blowup animals, untangled hundreds of lights and hung a tunnel full of glowing icicles. What a wonderful way to give and enjoy the fun of the season with our friends and neighbors!

Oh, what a night!! PCC celebrated their 11th Annual Family Dinner Dance at the Stonebridge Country Club in Smithtown this month. It was quite the night of celebrating! We honored multiple individuals for their hard work and dedication in making a difference in the community, promoting and fighting for inclusion. We all came together to celebrate self-direction and everyone who makes PCC the organization it is today.

Our most recent Speed Friending event in Merrick was another HUGE success! Participants came to our event as strangers and left as friends. Everyone took their time asking each other questions about their likes, dislikes and overall interests. Individuals found out that they had a lot in common with one another. It was a fun night of friendship! We'd like to thank The REAL Transition Partners and PB Academy for giving us the means to be able to have Speed events.

Our PCC members visited the Suffolk County Farm for an afternoon of fall fun.  Members had the opportunity to feed goats, pick pumpkins and go on a wagon ride. At one point, we all worked as a team to get ourselves out of the corn maze.  When the beautiful sunset hit, we sat around a bonfire and made s'mores.  It was a fun-filled fall meetup!

Halloween may have recently passed, although the ghosts and creepy vibes were still going on at the Haunted House of Hamburgers. PCC members and some friends were there to witness some spooky scenery and some terrifyingly terrific eats at his cool restaurant. PCC had over thirty-five people dining together in this fun atmosphere, with werewolf howls and erie sounds happening as we chatted and gobbled down our yummy dishes.  What a fun and interesting place.

We think it's safe to say that one of PCC's favorite holidays is HALLOWEEN!  Our Halloween party at the Ronkonkoma Fire House was a creepy, spooky good time! Everyone came decked out in some of the best Halloween costumes to date.  Our member Anthony won our costume contest, dressing up as Barbie! Everyone's monster mashed the night away.  Party goers sure were Creepy and kooky and all together ooky!

What a thrilling PCC Halloween Costume Dance Party! It was a tremendous success. Everyone came dressed in their spookiest best and looking nothing like how they do in their day to day. Kool Spektrum put on another amazing live performance, having the crowd rocking out.

Another successful Speed-Friending event in the books!  Participants had a great time getting to know each other, having conversation over some pizza!  We can't think of a better way to get to know someone.  Everyone had the opportunity to ask each other questions about their what their likes and dislikes are, when it came to music, movies and so much more.

PCC members and friends, had the opportunity to participate in a unique dance party: A SILENT DANCE!! Partygoers received their own set of headphones that had a variety of music channels to choose from.  Everyone was able to dance together and listen to whatever music they wanted without the loud blasting music from speakers.  Shout out to Reimagined NY and NYFIT4ALL for teaching us some awesome dance moves throughout the night.  This was a one-of-kind experience that we won't forget!

PCC definitely made their presence known at the Long Island Ducks game last Friday night.  We showed up with our biggest group, cheering on our home team and our friends as they sang the national anthem.  Both GLEE and Nassau Voice did an AMAZING job.  We were so proud of our friends.  Throughout the night, we shared some laughs, enjoyed the ball game, and had ourselves some peanuts and cracker jacks.  It was a one of the best Long Island Ducks game meetups to date. What a QUACKING good time
